Good Friday

Good Friday is the day we observe the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. The current Book of Common Prayer is the first to include liturgies for Holy Week. Some are left open to interpretation, but Good Friday is more prescribed. On Good Friday, we enact the ancient liturgy for that day, hearing the Passion according to St. John as well as the Solemn Collects, sung to tones used only on Good Friday. Finally, we solemnly venerate the cross.

Please join us for Good Friday at 12 noon on March 29th, 2024 at St. Mary's-in-Tuxedo. Click on the link below to watch the livestream.
